Guidelines for presenters for Conference Proceedings (Rev.A) Deadline: June 18, 2012
1. Center the title of the article at the top of the first page and use
all caps. Center author(s) name(s) under the title (not in all caps), followed
by a comma and the name of the author's institutional affiliation.
2. Place an abstract (概要) at the beginning of your paper. It should be about
100 words in English and about 300 文字 in Japanese.
3. Choose about 5 keywords and place them after the abstract.
4. Headings should be centered and all caps.
5. Use Times New Roman, 12 point, for English and MS 明朝, 10.5 point for
Japanese, and single space. Leave a five space left margin at the beginning of
each new paragraph for English. NUMBER PAGES at the bottom center of each page.
日本語の場合は,段落の始めは一文字分空けてください。
6. Number tables and figures sequentially using Arabic numbers (i.e., Table 1,
Table 2, Figure 1, Figure 2). Below this place the title with the first letter
of each word in caps. Place the number and title flush with the left margin above the data. Place
tables and figures in the narrative following their first mention in the text.
7. Use “Letter size” for page set up. The margins for top and the bottom must
be 1 inch. The right and the left margins must be 1.25 inches.
8. Pages are limited to 2 or 4 pages (even numbers) so that it’s easy to
compile.
9. Refer to references in the narrative by last name(s) of author(s) followed
by year of publication.
Examples: Yamada (2002) found... or...It was found (Yamada, 2002). Place full reference information at the end of the article ONLY for those
articles referenced in the narrative.
Center the word REFERENCES in all caps and begin
listings on next line.
List references alphabetically by last name of senior
author. Journal References. List last name of author(s) followed by a comma and
his/her initials. Then the journal publication year (in parentheses) followed
by a period. Then the article title (first letter of first word and proper
nouns only in caps), the journal name and volume in italics, the issue (in
parentheses) and pages concerned.
Book References. List last name of author(s) followed by a comma and his/her
initials. Then the publication year (in parentheses) followed by a period. Then the
italicized title of the book (first letter of first word and proper nouns only
in caps), followed by a period. Then the name of the city in which published followed by a colon; and last, the
name of the publisher.
Internet References. See the illustration in the sample below.
10. Footnotes. Avoid them.
11. Be sure to spell check the article.
12. Submit via e-mail attachment in Microsoft Word :
